Most celebrities use there platforms to share about less well-known issues like alopecia as still some people stigmatize it and do not wish to talk about the issue, so Lily Reinhart was admired when she came out about her diagnosis.

The star took to TikTok on Monday to post a video about Alopecia when she was undergoing red light therapy, and wrote in the clip, "was just diagnosed with alopecia in the midst of a major depressive episode."

Alopecia isn’t a deadly disease though it can cause harm the disease is an autoimmune disorder where the immune system mistakenly attacks hair follicles, leading to hair loss. It can manifest in various forms, from localized bald patches to complete loss of hair on the scalp or body.

Alopecia treatments vary, including minoxidil and finasteride for stimulating hair growth, corticosteroids for inflammation, and therapies like immunotherapy and light therapy. in some cases, hair transplant surgery or wig may be considered. but Lily Reinhart has only been diagnosed a few days ago they went with light therapy which has proven very effective.

In the TikTok she shared, Reinhart can be seen lip-syncing to audio of a man saying "I'm pushed beyond the limits of what a person should be pushed to endure. The riverdale star also added a caption to the post that said. "red light therapy is my new best friend #alopcia #mentalhealth."

In 2020 in an interview with Refinery she said her mental health had its ups and downs and claimed at a point she was in a "black tunnel (that) was never going to end" she also claimed she like to face it head on and not fill the void. "I've seen a lot of people when it comes to heartache and grief and breakups, and they try to get that void filled with sex, with coke, with food, with drinking, but the void is still there" so must fans and family expect her to face this problem head on.

Though red light therapy is a good treatment it is not a cure as it only stimulates hair growth. The National Institute of Health claimed that there is no actual cure to the disease, but this will slow progressing and improve hair growth.

Lily Reinhart's courageous revelation about her alopecia diagnosis serves as a powerful reminder of the strength that lies in vulnerability. by openly sharing her journey, she not only destroys societal beauty standards but also sparks important conversation about self-acceptance.
